45 Years Old, No Period Cycles For Three Months, Hot Flashes, Cramps, Bloating, Gaining Weight In Stomach Area. Blood Work Normal, Negative Pregnancy Test. Causes?
I am a 45 year old african american woman that has missed her cycle for 3 months, have heat flashes and some cramping, I have taken several urine pregancy tests includingn 1 from my doctor which all is negative. I am feeling bloated and appears to be gaining weight in my stomach .What could I be experiencing? I have have blood work done. Came back fine. Please explain what may be happening. Is the urine test the only pregancy test given?

You have started Menopause period.
This is a period usually started after 40-45 years due to hormonal imbalance where lady gets Hot flushes on face & some unexpected feeling in body the symptoms were different from individual to individual.
The monthly bleeding happens some times once in 6 moths or not happens for 3-4 months or happens every month in short it is very irregular.
As you have undergone several pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy it is not the possibility of your missed period.
Make sure about your contraceptive measure once your period comes because irregular periods not give you immunity from pregnancy.
