Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Greenish color of the stool indicates increased bowel motility and you need not worry about the same.

Monitor for signs of dehydration.
They include
1. Decreased skin turgor
2. Increasing thirst.
3. Sunken eyes.
4. Irritability.
5. Drowsiness.
6. Decreasing passage of urine.

You may have to give your child ORS or any fluid containing salt and sugar.

This prevents dehydration.

If there is blood in the stool your doctor will think of dysentry and start her on antibiotics.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
