5 Year Old With Throbbing Pain And Numbness In The Arm. Lump On The Neck, Cold And Cough. Are These Related?
My almost five year old son is complaining of a throbbing pain and numbness in his left arm. Two days ago, I found a tiny little lump on the right side of his neck, and he said that it hurts. He's also had a cold and a fairly bad cough for a few days now (that his father had first and it simply ran it's course and went away). Are these things connected and what could they be? I'm really worried about my little guy.
Where exactly does your son have throbbing pain and numbness in the left arm? How is the pain relieved? Does it increase with any movements? These are some of the queries which shall help in giving a guidance for the pain.
Following an upper respiratory tract infection it is very common to see enlarged lymph nodes which can be painful. However they subside over time with proper treatment. It is very unlikely that this is associated with the pain in the left arm.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
