7 Week Baby, Heats On Face, Arms, Legs, Spreading. Applying Cream. Suggestions?

my 7 week old baby boy has heats on face, arms and legs. areas that have no clothes. paediatrician gave me hydrocortisone cream to help for 7 days. I am on day 3, but I find it is spreading more. he is also drinking gentlease so I don't know what Is causing all of this. he is mostly indoors I hardly go outside with him

Hello:
That type of rash you are describing is frequently seen in babies up to the third month of life. The rash is usually caused by estrogen (one of the female hormones) that passed through the umbilical cord from mother to baby, and it causes an "acne" type of rash, it is called "infantile acne", usually disappears spontaneously
after the third month, when the estrogen effect wears out.
