8 Months Pregnant, Stomach Bug, Weight Gain, Vomit, Legs And Hand Tingly. Is It Serious?

I have had a Stomach bug since yesterday afternoon, and I am 8 months pregnant. My legs feel like there is a 100 pound weight on them, and my legs and hands are so tingly. Since the first time I vomited yesterday at 3. Also, I can't keep anything down, when should I seek medical attention for dehydration? I'm worried about the baby. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Do you notice that your legs are swollen? Sorry, I was not very clear about it from the query.
If the vomiting is not very severe, and there is no associated headache or abdominal pain and if you are not having any problems with your eyes like blurred vision then it may be due to gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach. Try to have a light drink like fresh orange juice or light soup or probiotic to rest the stomach and keep you hydrated. If you are simply not able to keep down anything then you need to see your doctor.

If you are having swelling over feet with vomiting and have not received your antenatal checkup recently, you must see your healthcare provider and have your blood pressure and urine evaluated to check if normal as early as possible As it may be due to preclampsia [ a condition with raised blood pressure peculiar to pregnancy] and needs to be ruled out.

Don"t worry much about the baby, if it is giving at least three kicks in 1 hour when it is active, it is less likely to be affected. So, keep a watch on the kicks while you are lying still and again do not worry.

Hope I was able to help you.
Thanks for using HCM.
