9 Month Baby, Bruise On Forehead After Falling From Bed, Having Fever. Should I Meet A Doctor?

Hi doctors

My 9months old daughter fell of the bed yesterday which resulted in bruise around left side of the forehead and left eyelid area. Today the bruise and swell became more visible around the eyelid area but she is at her normal self, active, playing, feeding...

But near to noon she started to have fever of 38.2 Celsius. Is that a cause of concern and should I bring her to the hospital?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

That fall and bruising both are unrelated events. Fever could be because of some other cause. Does your baby have any associated cold, cough, burning urination (crying while passing urine), etc. Yes fever in that age group requires check up by a doctor.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
