90 Year Old Had A Stroke, Left Side Affected. Chances Of Recovery?

My grandmother is 90 and just had a stroke apparently had 12 before this one which she did come out of. Her left side is affected. Apparently, she had undiagnosed and untreated high blood pressure as she last went to the doctor in 1965. Realistically what are her chances of recovering and what is the percentage this could happen again?

Hi,

Thank you for posting this query regarding your grandmother.

The chances of recovery depends on the location of brain stroke, as well as the size, in addition to the age. At age 90, there is a poor prognosis for a fast and good recovery. However, the complete prognosis can be discussed once you upload her CT/MRI brain reports, and her comorbid illnesses (other than high BP).
