94 Years. Changed Voice, Swollen Ankles, Fatigue, Laboured Breathing. Possible Congestive Heart Failure?
Hello,
My father is 94 years old and very active. His voice started changing and now his ankles are swollen and he runs out of energy very quickly. His breathing seems labored. I told him he is retaining fluid and he said that can't be so because he doesn't drink much water. It sounds like he has congestive heart failure to me. What do you think?
HI Thank for asking to HCM Yes ! you may right but to confirm this he needs certain investigation to rule out the possibility of CHF. even clinical examination may not confirm the diagnosis, EKG, x-ray chest ECO, needed in this case, you can discus this with physician, take care of your father.
