Accidently Hit Cervix While Intercourse, Pain, Cramp Followed. Physician Help Required?
I m 43 and pretty healthy. While my partner and I were having intercourse he accidentally hit my cervix really hard. It resulted in a horrific cramp the kept me from moving for an hour. Then it took another hour before I felt I could get up and walk. It s been six days and my cervix still hurts. When I woke up this morning and had to stretch it felt like something was pulling on my cervix in a painful way. Do you think it s like a pulled muscle or do I need to go to the doctor?
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
It is possible that you could have inadvertently sustained some injury to the cervix. If you have not had any bleeding or any other major complications, then it means that the injury was not serious and will resolve on its own. It may take a few days for the inflamation and pian to subside completely. You can take a mild anti-inflamatory medication, take adequate rest and refrain from sexual intercourse for a few days.
However, if the pain continues to persist or if you develop any pinkish discharge or a foul-smelling discharge or fever or any other complications, then you need to see a doctor to get yourself checked.
Wish you all the best.
Regards,
Dr. Jonas Sundarakumar
