Acute Pain In The Toe

hi, my mother is suffering from acute pain in the toe nails (big toe) on both the legs....we have shown this to our family doctor . The doctor had given painkillers but it only gave temporary relief. The colour of both the toe nails have changed(blackish)....please help as I couldnt find any foot specialist in mumbai.

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
If the toes are turning blackish, it means it is undergoing gangrene. You must see a general surgeon as it can be due to slow arterial blockage or due to diabetes. The area which has already turned black is difficult to safe.
