Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Airbag Hit Inner Side Of Right Knee, Inflammation And Swelling, MRI Negative, Knee Still In Pain And Inflamed. Suggestion?
Last June, I was in a car accident and the airbag hit my the inner side of my right knee leaving it inflamed and swollen. I have been to the doctor since to have liquid removed and XRays/ MRI done, but they came back negative. However, my knee still hurts and is still inflamed, so it s becoming quite annoying. What do you suggest?
Are you saying that injury occurred one year ago and pain is still present.I think there can be knee arthritis in your joint or a ligament damage which MRI failed to diagnose at that time. I would suggest you to repeat MRI and show it to a orthopaedic doctor. If you want then you can send MRI report to me also.
