Am I Having High Pressure Due To Weight Loss?

I have a history of an eating disorder, and have been losing weight (even with steriods). My BMI is around 17. I also, have MG. Due to MG I have IVIG. They watch my blood pressure. For a while now it has been very high (191/114). I ve seen an internist twice. The blood pressure is always OK. This last time, I was told to start taking it at home. I sit, feet flat on the floor, arm resting at about heart level, and wait 5 minutes. The blood pressure was high, again. I repeated this 3 times in a row and then through out the day. Every time it is very high with the bottom number always above 100. Is this due to my losing weight, which I haven t been actively trying to lose?

Dear friend, i understand your problems... but remember the high BP is not due to weight loss .. in fact weight loss reduces the blood pressure!!! but it should through natural way like diet and exercise. loosing too much of weight too fast is also not good especially taking drugs like steroids. will harm your health and decrease your immunity!!! so .. STOP STEROIDS NOW...be relaxed consume more of green leafy vegetable, fruits, juices ... reduce your salt intake .. if possible practice yoga especially pranayama is very effective for hypertension. Go for walk at least half an hour a day ... live stress free stop checking your BP repeatedly ... check after one month... you will be alright .. IF YOU FEEL ANYTHING TO ASK BE FREE TO CONTACT US
