General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your father seem to be related to peripheral neuropathy due to diabetes.
This is one of the common symptoms of diabetes.
I recommend to maintain the glicemic level under control.
I also to use prescription painkillers Gabapentin.
This medication should be prescribed it by a neurologist.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
