Mid cycle bleeding can be defined as bleeding from the cervix, perineum or vagina that is severe and occurring between anticipated periods. The causes can range from:
Hormonal changes in the body
Low thyroid levels in the body
Miscarriage
Intra uterine devices (IUD)
Starting or stopping oral contraceptives
Vaginal infection or injury to the vagina
Stress
It can be confirmed only by examination and if required investigations. So it will be better to have a through examination and get confirmed.
