Am I Still Pregnant After Using Cytotec?
Hi I ve found out that I am 7 weeks pregnant so I took 4 cytotec pills in the mouth and inserted in the vagina. That was around 12 mid night. In the morning around 7 am I felt cramps and had a rapid flow of blood coming down for a few seconds and stop ,the blood was a bit light in color and was without any blood clot. After that was just drop for two days now. I am worried if the pills didn t work and I am still pregnant. what may be some possible explanations regarding this,

Understand your concern
Better to use misoprostol pill under advice of obstetrician. You take 4 cytotec-misoprostol vaginally and orally. But better to use it with mifepristone for successful abortion that may be reason for light blood without tissue and clots. If no bleeding with clots with in 2-3 days, consult the obstetrician for check up for abortion status.
If pregnancy test is remain positive after 7-10 days, undergo USG scan to confirm incomplete abortion, abnormal pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy, All should be treated by surgical process like suction evacuation or D & C.
So if misoprostol fails do not continue the pregnancy as it cause abnormality in fetus, better to remove it.
