Any Home Remedy To Reduce Bruise On Right Buttock?
My husband (70) fell and has large bruising on his right buttock. The soreness has eased however a large dark purple with yellowing around it appears to be getting larger. At moment the purple is about the size of a bread & butter plate. Is there a home remedy to stop the bruising from getting bigger?
Your husband seems to have developed a bruise initially due to the fall that he had. A bruise appears like a reddish or purplish area to the eyes. But since the area is increasing now in size along with development of a yellowish centre, then this is not a very favourable sign. This signifies development of an infection at the site of injury. I would advise you to see a nearby doctor so that proper assessment can be done to rule out the possibility of cellulitis . If this is the case , then a course of oral antibiotics might be required .
