Are Valsartan/ HCTZ And Hydrazide The Same Type Of Medicines?
I take Valsartan/HCTZ 80 MG/12.5 MG tablets which is a diaretic and blood pressure medication . Correction long pink pill I ordered the EXACT SAME THING WHICH WAS A DISCOUNT MEDICATION AND IT IS CALLED HYDRAZIDE 25 ALSO A TABLET. QUESTION: Are both the same type of mediation???? Obviously they sure do not look alike. This one is a round white pill. It says on the container Hydrochlorothiazide tablets LP (or IP) 25.

Valsartan/HCTZ is a combination of the TWO drugs Valsartan -BP Lowering medication and HCTZ is a Diuretic whereas the HCTZ-Hydrochlorothiazide contains ONLY HCTZ not Valsartan so both drugs are NOT same
HCTZ in BOTH is same but the DOSE is diferent .
In combination it is 12.5mg where as the other one has double
Either get fresh tablets or if the dose is set buy few Valsartan and take it with HALF of Hydrochlorothiazide daily
