Are Antibiotics Sufficient To Cure Fever, Cough, Muscle Aches And Weakness?

Hi my husband has had a fever cough muscle aches weakness etc. has been taking doxycline and panadol. Temperature has come down but has now been 34.4. -- 34.7 now for 12hours should I seek further medical advice. he had the fever for 3.5days prior to starting the antibiotic

Hi,
Your husband will need to take the antibiotic for the prescribed length of time for it to work fully. You mention his temperature has come down to 34.4. You may have misread the thermometer as this is a very low temperature which is unlikely to have occurred with his illness.
You do not need to see the doctor unless he is still unwell in 7 days time.
