Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Chest Pain, cramps And Tingling In Arm Signs Of Panic Attack?
I started using meth again and have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks in my using but now that I started back up I have more physical symptoms like left arm cramping and tinglyness chest pain I can control the mental anxiety because I know now but how do u know the difference between heart attack and panickattack
I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. I can understand your emotions. It is very difficult to distinguish panic attack from heart attack for a normal common man. Chest pain, tightness, breathlessness, restlessness, sweating, pain around the neck and shoulder area are common with both. I request you to consult a cardiologist and get your Lipid profile test, EKG and stress test done every 6 months and do indulge in exercises and proper low fat diet. In that way you can be sure that you will not have heart attack and can be sure that you are having panic attak when pain comes.
I also suggest to cure panic attack and anxiety, You need counseling and psychotherapy. I shall provide you with the required counseling and psychotherapy techniques online, to overcome these problems. Please describe the whole problem in detail and post a direct question to me.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications. Good luck.
