Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I had a biopsy today on lymph nodes in my right axilla The surgeon removed one lymph node measuring 3.6 cm x 2.0 x 2.1. He said that it was a fatty lymph node. He did however, send the lymph node for pathology evaluation. Do I have anything to be worried about?
Thank you for asking! Lymph nodes are filters for lymphatic systems which transfer the fats absorbed from gut to the body through lymphatics, so fat infiltration in lymph node is nothing to worry about , Just keeping the weight in control is advised. Biopsy and histopathology is a normal thing for any thing or part of the body taken out.Hope for the best. Take care
