Are Frequent Headaches A Symptom Of Concussion?

My son hit his head about a month ago playing hockey... He had a headache that day but it subsided with advil. The next day, headache returned while playing hockey. Subsided after that. He was body checked last night and complained of headache again after game (no hit to head just pushed into boards). Could he be suffering from concussion and what should we do?

: Scalp hematoma - It is collection of blood and reactionary fluid in scalp layers after head injury. It presents as bump or knot or swelling at local site. You can feel warm tender skin along with redness.

It is treated by
applying cold compresses
keeping head and elevated
wait and watch
taking tablet Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription.

You can correlate his findings and treat him accordingly. If still no relief, consult doctor. Sometimes minor post traumatic brain bleed can cause headache. It can be suspected if no relief in pain, focal deficit, memory problem. Confirmation is by CT head. Further managent is after CT report.
