Are Knee Pain And Back Pain Due To Lesion On Basal Ganglia?
my son had an MRI that found a small lesion on his left side of the basal ganglia, no idea how long its been there how it got there ect.. but he has been diagnosed with ADHD OCD Mood disorder insomnia with the tonsil and adniods removed in hopes to help him sleep better, but no luck. He has always complained of achy joints knees, ankles neck and lately his lower back, he is only 12 and now to think back on it he had alot of problems a a baby with upper and lower GI problems asthma colicky(stiffing out) and he cried constantly, could this be due to this small lesion should I be more concerned? I am starting to think that the low back pain knee aches ect.. are being brought on from this lession?

I understand your concern but I do not think the multiple joint problems are related to the basal ganglia lesion.
I feel that this could be growing pains or growth pains are a sign of vitamin D deficiency.
May I suggest that you consult his primary care physician or pediatrician with these possibilities and discuss, please.
