What Does Globus Pallidus As Shown On MRI Scan Suggest?

my wife has just had the results of a MRI scan and been told that a condition called Globus Pallidum as occouried, she recovered from an overdose of Fentnal pach put on by mistake for a dressing on an open wound last Sept 2011, she has suffered loss of conversation, dose not smile anymore and slow move ments is ther any way with time she could revert back to her old self or is the damage done and not repairable. JIH

Hello,

It is possible that there was ischemia of globus pallidus after a fentanyl overdose.

It is possible to recover from it, but the degree of recovery is not clear, time will show.

Some neurological deficits may persist.
