Are There Any Side Effects Of Having Hysterectomy Due To Multiple Uterus Problems ?
I am thinking about having a hysterectomy. I have multiple problems going on in my uterus, and I've seen a couple of specialists who told me this would be the best route to go. I will be able to keep my ovaries, but I would like to know if there are any other side effects from it.
Hi, Thanks for the query. The decision of hysterectomy depends on factors like : -The nature and severity of the problem -Response to medical treatment -Age of the patient -Parity of the patient -General medical condition of the patient etc. If ovaries are retained after hysterectomy, menopausal symptoms can be avoided to some extent. General postoperative recovery phase is common as per other abdominal surgeries. If benefits overweigh the risks according to your problem, you can go for hysterectomy as advised by your doctor. Take care.
