At What Level Of Blood Sugar Is Insulin Required?

Hello Doctor,



My name is Karam and my age is 53 Years Today my fasting blood sugar shows 317. After Two hours breafast again it's going high 400 to 450. At what stage Insulin is required. Still I can control my blood sugar with tablets which I am taking Glucophase 500 mg thrise a day.



Pls. advise.

dear sir I understand your concern.let me suggest the best treatment which is accepted world wide.im my opinion you are now having very uncontrolled diabetes in this condition the chance of you responding to other tablets may be poor.i suggest you to use insulin for 10-15 days so your pancreas will recover a bit then you can stop muslin and start the tablets with out ant problem.this will have very long terms effects by preserving pancreas along with beta cells I am having a question when did u check your HBa1c last time.not done for past 3 months.kindly do it .....get back to me for further clarification ....regards
