HI DEAR THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION,you have been diagnosed as reflux esophagitis and was on medicine which controlled your reflux, and you now again feeling the symptom 3 months after the delivery of baby.Dear the commonest cause of reflux esophagitis is Hiatus hernia,(herniation of a part of stomach into chest, through loose hole in diaghpram).you get your EGD commonly called as endoscopy done to establish the cause of reflux esophagitis,is it hiatus hernia,or loose lower esphageal sphinter, and if the hiatus hernia is cause if small one it can be managed by diet control and medicine ,but if hiatus hernia is the cause and it is big one then it need surgical repair ,laproscopically called as fudoplication
this is a common problem. as delivery time approaches all ligaments get relaxed under the effect of female harmones and this effect is also seen on muscles at the end of our food pipe (whose actual purpose is to keep food pipe closed and prevent reflux ) as the time shall pass the effect of harmones will fade off n so shall this problem
