Bad Cough When I Smell Smoke, Perfume. Spirometry, Heart Sounds Normal. Told Due To GERD. Suggestions?
ihad this dry caugh 0ver six weeks i been seen by 3 doctor im 43 years also im pasty chef when ever i smell any smoke or perfum istart caughing badlly on examination he appeared well my spirometry was normal with an fev1of 3.63 my chest was clear to ausculation and heart sounds were normal and doctor he saying my impression ihave gastroesophageal reflux causin caugh could you please help me with this many thanks khaled emailme back YYYY@YYYY

If cough starts after smelling smoke or perfume , then it's unlikely to be related to GERD. I am sorry, but I don't agree with your doctor.Here I assume you are pretty sure about the history.If that's the case then seeing a allergy specialist would be good idea before considering GERD as underlying cause.
