Bitten By Black Widow Spider, Loss Of Appetite, Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breath. Remedies To Cure This?

Hello,
My boyfriend got bit by a black widow spider a little more than a month ago (was bit on 9/12/2013). He did not experience symptoms right away, but a few days later, he began to have chest pain and shortness of breath. He went to the doctor and they confirmed that he had been bit by a black widow, and he was given medication. About a week ago, he was unable to eat due to loss of appetite and if he tried to eat, he would vomit. This symptom has not yet gone away and he is losing weight rapidly. How long does the loss of appetite generally last? Are there any remedies to cure this? Thank you in advance for any input.
Regards.

Dear patient,
this loss of appetite is due to the antivenom. Its nothing to worry about. It will subside in a few days. But, if the shortness of breath is causing him problems, visit the center which administered the antivenom. They will give you some antihistamines.
