Bitten By Dog, Leg Numbness, Tingling In Toes. Received Pain Relief Injection. Nerve Damage?
I was bitten by a dog pretty bad yesterday and i am experiencing some numbness in my leg and tingle in my toes, however i did receive stitches and was also given a numbing shot for the stitches could this be the numbing shot i took still residing or nerve damage from the bite if nerve damage what steps can i make to get full recovery
The wounds of dog bite are routinely not sutured. I do not know why it was done in you. The numbness in the legs mostly seems to be due to the wearing off effects of the numbing shot.
You will recover from it soon.
I assume you have taken the passive immunization with anti-rabies immunoglobulin as well as you had a bad and quite severe bite.
There is nothing that you need to do about the nerve damage, as it is not that. The effect of the numbing shot will wear off soon and you will feel normal.
Hope this helps.
Wish you quick recovery.
