Bitten By Dog On Right Calf Muscle. Lately Developed Knee Pain. Are They Related?
Hi my name is Robin. I am a mail carrier for the USPS. I ve recently been bitten by pit bull on the lower part of my right calf muscle . I was outta work for 2months following this injury and since I ve been back to work the outer side of my right knee has been giving me problems. After about 2 hours of walking me knee hurts really bad especially when I bend it. I m unsure of if this could relate in the previous injury (dog bite) or did something else occur?? please give me some advice
There are different possiblilities. It is possible that the bite may have have caused damage to some structures in you leg which may be causing the pain. Or you have an infection. It could also be unrelated to the bite and may be because of other reasons a such as injuries to structures in knee and around it or excessive walking. you should see a dcotor who can exmaine and do some tests and assess the exact cause.
I don't think so, your knee pain is not related to dog bite incident. you should be careful about this condition. you can use hydrotherapy for pain- use hot and cold fomantation alternately for thirty minutes per day in two sessions. you must consult your physician also.
