Bitten By Fire Ants On Neck, Swollen Lymph Gland, No Infection. Treatment?

my daughter was swarmed and bitten by fire ants around the neck area although the bites have abated she is left with a small walnut sized swollen lymph gland in the back of her neck. she does not have any infected bites i told her to see a doctor because i do not know how long this will last she was bitten about 8 days ago

Hi Judi,

Ideally, the bite mars should go away in a week's time. The swollen lymph gland also should return to normal by this time.

She could apply calamine lotion topically on the affected areas.

Nothing to worry much, it should go away soon. There is no need to see the doctor now.
