ENT Specialist 's  Response
Dear terrynrhonda1993
It looks like a haematoma of the tongue, that is collection of semisolid blood under the tongue mucosa.
You may not remember tongue bite in sleep. Usually resolves in 1-2 wks. If not you may require to see a specialist.
