General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi Michelle, Thanks for using HCM.
Painless blood discharge could be due to small injury happened unknowingly or due to any internal problem in breast. If there is any visible superficial lesion, then no need to go for doctor and it will heal in time. But keep the area clean and can apply antiseptic lotion.
For internal problem, you can do self examination of breast for any pain, swelling or change in consistency. If present then can consult your doctor. If this happens again then you need to get examined from your doctor for any lesions in the breast.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries or doubts and I shall be glad to help you out. Wish you good health.
Take care.
Regards
