Bleeding Post Intercourse, Swollen Vagina, not On Periods Due. Had Nuva Ring Removal Few Days Ago. Help?
I had the nuva ring in for a few days and took it out. It wasn't for me. I left it out for a few days and had sexual intercourse. He used a condom. The next day I woke up bleeding. I am confused because my period shouldnt start for another two weeks. I have always had irregular periods but I don't recall two weeks early ever. Its not terribly heavy bleeding. So I tried to put a tampon in. My vagina seems almost swollen? I am not sure what is going on? there really is no pain or burning. Is this just my irregular periods or welit go away? What should I do?
Hi thanks for your question. The commonest cause of post coital bleeding is cervictis that is inflammation of cervix, it could be due to infection of of cervix. The second reason could be vaginits that is infection of vagina.Endometrosis could be a third possibility. Bleeding from uterus as part of irregular cycle is also a possibility. I would suggest you to get yourself examined by gynaecologist to determine exact cause of your bleeding and swollen vagina. Hope this answers your question.
