my mother in law just called me today to tell that she had a bloody urine ... she said it had happened before ...abt 2 weeks before and she got her urine blood kidney all tested ..but the doctor says no problem...what can it possibly be....she also feels that the volume of urine is not that proportionate to the water she drinks...also there is no pain while urinating
Hi
Thanks for the query.
Blood in urine is commonly seen due to infection, stones or tumour of the urinary tract, although there are a number of other possible reasons.
It is essential to repeat urine analysis and culture and obtain an imaging study like an ultrasound or a CT scan of the kidneys.
She needs to see a urologist and/or a nephrologist for an examination and review of all the investigations.
Ope is helps.
Good luck.
