Blood Sugar Not Under Control, Heelspur In Foot, Pain, How To Control Sugar?

Doc,
I am a professional person (75 kg). My blood sugar is not under control fasting 150 after food 250. HELP!!

I was never able to follow the dietary guide given by the dietician as I work in the night shifts for over a decade. Is there a dummy's guide on how I can follow and control my sugar levels in today's work environment? I admit, I'm lazy, never walk as I have a heelspur in my left foot. Recently I took a 71 blood tests and showed it to endocrinologist. Though there were few readings that were higher than the reference value, my doc told me that, this is a good indication. So my 2 immediate concerns are:-

1. Pain in my left foot as I have heelsper, limping at work.
2. How to control my sugar?

Age: 43
Sex: Male
Height: 5 feet 6"
Weight: 75 kgs
Waste: 36"
Fasting sugar level: 150
PP: 250
Medication: 1.5 tablet of Glimisave M2 (half in the morning & 1 in the evening), 0.25 Thyronorm
Time: 3 years

Thank you for your time.

Hello,
Thanks for query to H.C.M.Forum.
Sugar is not under control?
Limping due to heel spur?
Weight 75 kgs,
Height 5'6" ,
Fasting blood sugar level 150 mg/dl
After food 250,
For heel spur,
You have to control your sugar level by either changing the drugs or by increasing the dose of drugs after the advice of your treating doctor.
Once sugar is under control an excision is the only option to heel spur in diabetic patient.
No doubt your work is in night shift but you should reduce your weight and follow strict dietary control under a dietitian.
Regular check up of diabetes and control of diabetes is must for you, according to your age.
Hope I have answered your query.
If any further question I will be happy to help.
Good luck. Dr. HET
