Blood Tests Cholesterol High And Upper Abdomen Ultrasound Done. No Exercise. What Has Caused This?
Hi! i had a blood test taken and results for my SGPT is 119 (c.u) triglycerides is 298 (c.u) and cholesterol is 225.53 (c.u) I had an upper abdomen ultrasound today and will be getting the results tomOrrow. I don t drink alcohol, i rarely drink sodas, i don t eat junkfoods like chips and fries. I do admit though that i lack exercise since i am not fat and not skinny as well. What could have caused this?
hi kimchie017.....the major reason for high cholesterol is hereditary followed by lack of activity and poor eating habits...since you say you do not eat any junk, the reason in your case could be genetics and lack of exercise.. you need to be active even if you are not fat as exercise helps not only to lose weight but also remain healthy within and keep all health problems at bay.. i suggest start with brisk walks/swim/ jog for 1 hour daily..eat more of fruits, walnuts( excellent to reduce cholesterol), almonds, salads, sprouts, whole grains like jowar, bajra, ragi, brown rice... avoid refined foods and egg yolks, red meat which are high in cholesterol.. you can take a fish oil capsule 2 times/day which contaisn omega 3 that reduces cholesterol.. rest wel.. be happy and enjoy life..
