Body Pain, Swelling, Painful Gums With Burning Sensation In Mouth. On Paracetamol For Viral Fever. Is This Normal?

I am currently recovering from a viral fever. Temp has dropped but the body pain still persists. I guess it will gradually reduce. I have been taking severe dose of paracetamol and one injection the first day. Along with the body pain I have been experiencing pain and swelling in the gums and a little burning sensation inside the mouth as well. Is this normal ? Thank you Letchu

Hi,

Theses symptoms may be due to viral fever. You need to have plenty of oral fluids and always keep your mouth wet. If burning sensation of mouth you need to do gargle with glycerine mouth wash. NSAID (Paracetamol) with muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone will help you to recover faster.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
