Bone Scan Showing Degenerative Changes And Metastasis. Undergoing Chemotherapy. Can You Explain The Result?

Hi
My sister, had a bone scan done and one of the findings is in thoracic Spine are nonspecific at
T7-T8 considerations include degenerative change and metastasis .

please keep in mind dec 25 we where told that she has 3b -4th stage cancer it is a mass that ids behind the heart ect the dr said that it is in the major highway of everything and that we don't have much time left with her . but we have been doing chemo but the is getting worse and so that is why they order a new bone scan also we had a bon scan done in jan where there was no sign of anything in the bones. we look up the word metastasis and it is saying that the cancer has spread it that what this means ?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
hallo dear friend ,thanks for writing to HCM
i have studied your case

metastasis in spine indicates primary cancer has spread to spinal vertebre
through blood it may have spread to other tissue also

if chemotherapy is not giving proper response then radiotherapy can be started
you should maintain general health also

mental and emotional support is very important
you can do ART OF LIVING - PART 1 course to improve health

for further query contact my profile directly
