Bowel Movements With Very Strong, Sweet, Slightly Toxic Odour. Have Crohn's Disease. Stomach Pain Relieved With Nexim. Help

i have bowel movements that have a very strong sweet but slightly toxic odor, this has been happening for approximately 3 months. Certains foods create same odor while being cooked, also food/liquids can have same sweet taste. i have crohn'sdisease bt have never experienced anything like this since being diagnosed 21 yrs ago. had dibillitating stomach pain but improved from prescription nexium. help, im about to go crazy.

Hi ! Possibly the smell is related to some kind of particular food which you might have started of late to consume, which you might not be consuming earlier. I do not think it is in any way related to the Crohn's disease. If you have got relief with nexium, then please continue the same for the time period as advised by your doctor. I would suggest you to try and see changing the dietary ingredients you might have started recently. Good luck.
