Hello, Welcome to health care magic. You seem to be having a condition called chronic urticaria. In over 90% of the cases, there is no identifiable cause and it is termed as idiopathic. Blood tests as well as allergy tests may not reveal much. It may be associated with a thyroid abnormality and hence it is better to rule it out. In only around 10% of the cases, the cause may be an underlying infection like a dental infection, diet, medications, physical agents like excessive cold or heat, sunlight, etc. You could use an antihistamine after ruling out above causes. Please get it prescribed by your doctor. The duration of treatment varies from person to person and is not possible to predict the same. Hope this helped. Take care.
