Brittle Diabetic, Sugar Level Is Higher In The Morning Than At Night. What Can He Do?

Hi my husband is a very bad diabetic he is what call britille diabetic ? any way his sugar is always way higher when he gets up than when he goes to bed. He takes a long acting insulin before bedtime. For instance last night be fore he went to bed his blood sugar was 70. This morning it was 273 when he got up. what can he do?

Hello,

Brittle diabetes is a form of diabetes which is hard to control.
There will be extreme swing in the blood sugar values. Sometimes hypoglycemia and other time hyperglycemia.
It is associated with problems of delayed gastric emptying and malabsorption of insulin.
Stress and depression is also present.
Learn relaxation techniques and lead a stress free life.
