Brown Discharge. Had A Medical Abortion. Done USG Results. No Fetal Pole. What Is The Uterus's Normal Size?
My girlfriend had an medical abortion. Its 2 weeks now USG results showing no gestational sac and no fetal pole but the uterus is bulky and endo thickness is 17 mm. The Bleeding and cramp has been reduced a lot since abortion only at the time of urine little brownish color blood is seen. How long the endo thcikness and uterus will come to its normal size ?
Dear user, welcome to healthcare magic. Your medical abortion seems to be successful. The ultra sonographer must tell us if the uterus contains remnants of conception or the endometrium is just thick. If the uterus contains remnants of conception, you may repeat the drugs to induce expulsion of these remnants (under medical supervision of course). If no remnants and the endometrium is just thick, it will return to normal after the first menstruation. Finally I advise to have a quantitative pregnancy test and make sure that it is negative or at least very low values. Good luck. Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
