I have a big bruise on my inner thigh that was not caused by an injury. i ve seen my dr several times and been to the er. they keep telling me its an infection. i ve had five rounds of antibotic nut it doesn t help. the bruise has knots under the skin. a dr at the wound clinic had a sonogram down and said its bood not infection. this bruise has cleared uo and came back three times in three places on th same leg. i think something else is wrong. any suggestions before i see the surgeon.
Hi! welcome to HCM! You seem to be having spontaneous bruises which develop due to blood leaking from your capillary under your skin in subcutaneous tissue. You need to get your platelet count checked and coagulation profile done to rule out low platelet counts and any bleeding disorder. sometimes liver disorders and vitamin k deficiency are also responsible,so you can get a liver function test done too! hope this will help you! take care
