Bubbles On Skin Near Stitches After Cutting Finger. Reason For Suffering From Persistent Nausea, Sore Throat And Chills

I received stitches on my finger after cutting it with a serated knife. The doctor applied a type of burning, tingling spray over the infected area to numb my finger before the procedure. A few days later, I noticed actual bubbles on my skin near the stitches. They look like I was burned, like I had 3 or 4 burn bubbles on the surface of my finger. after two weeks, the bubbles have started draining. But I have had a week straight of waves of nausea during all times of day and night. Could the nausea be a symptom of infection from my finger wound? in addition I have a sore throat that has lasted a week. I had one night of chills but no fever or headache since. I just took a throat culture test and Strep has been ruled out. I am most curious why the nausea has persisted.

hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Your wound infection seems to be local infection, any systemic spread would have resulted in more serious problem, your description of symptoms are not in favor of systemic spread .
Nausea could be due to increased acid secretion if you were on pain killer medication. Most of pain reducing medication do cause gastric irritation.
Medication to reduce acid secretion like pantoprazole 40mg once a day for 5 days is helpful relieving your symptom. Consult your doctor For further examination if nausea persists.

Hope this helps you.
