Bulky Uterus With A Focal Lesion In The Ultrasound. Follicles In Ovaries. What Does It Mean?

HI Uterus USG shows Uterus is slightly bulky in size measuring 4.72cm in AP dimension and shows a round tiny anechoic area measuring 5.8mm. no focal lesion seen. endometrium is central and thickness is about 22.4mm. Myometrium shows uniform echotextutre. cul de sac no fluid collection. both ovaris multiple follicles seen. what does this mean?

I would have really appreciated your age, as it would help in advising the course of treatment.

From the HSG report, it appears as though your endometrial lining is very thick. This could be caused due to a number of conditions:
-Missed period
-Polycystic ovarian syndrome
-Endomterial cancer
-Estrogen therapy
-Hormonal abnormalities
-Menopause
-Obesity, etc.

If you are nearing menopause or have already completed your family, hysterectomy would be an option you should discuss with your doctor.

The follicles in the ovary could most probably indicate polycystic ovarian syndrome, as you seem to be predisposed to it, but this will have to be confirmed, as there are many other causes to it as well.
