My 2 year old healthy daughter started getting bumps on her butt and thighs in January. They got bad and we thought it was heat rash from her pullups so we switch brands. It didn t change. Then we thought since they were itchy that it could be chicken pox . We took her to the doctor , he agreed and gave her an anti-itch medicine. A month later they were still there. Took her back and the said it was Staph Dermatitus. Put her on creams and antibiotics . Took her back a week later, still the same so they changed her antibiotic to the same thing but with the stuff that kills staph and Mrsa . Came back and they were still there. Some had scabbed over and left brown spots. Well here it is May and she is still getting them. They are red at first and then become like big zits with white heads. She tells me they itch and when she gets too many she says they hurt. I don t think it is Staph Dermatitus because it isn t going away fully and keeps returning. It is localized to her butt and thighs. Any ideas? I keep a clean house and she hasn t been around any other children besides her baby brother who is just a baby. She has been to the doctors every other week for a few months, and he keeps telling me the same thing. He also has NOT done any tests like I asked. Just looked at them.
