Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a burning pain on the bottom of my foot right near my arch . I was injured playing soccer a few months ago and had posterior tibial tendonitis and an ankle sprain . The tendonitis has healed but I resprained my ankled a week ago. The burning feeling on the bottom of my foot I have only recently felt for the past couple of weeks. It occured randomly and lasted for a few minutes to a few hours, some days I never even feel it. But starting today I have felt it every time I loaded my foot by walking or standing. Sitting for a while seemed to reduce the burning sensation. I have tried to stretch my calf and achilles tendon but don t feel much help.
Hi,
It may be due to tibial tedonitis and ankle sprain which might have affected the passing nerves might give irritation of nerves causing burning sensation.
Now due to injury on the ankle there may be adhesion in surrounding tissues so there is more irritations causing burning.
Do physiotherapy and take some B compex or B1,B6,B12 tablets or injections.
