Burning Sensation In The Stomach After Ingesting Cleaning Liquid Accidentally. Vomited Forcibly. Any Harm To Internal Organs?

Sir,
Today early morning, by mistake I drunk lizol, which was diluted in water and was kept in a bottle for home use.
Qty was approx 1/2 a tea cup. After that within a 10 minutes , willingly I have vomited for 4 times by taking lots of water. As there was huge burning sensation I felt inside my stomach. Over phone I have consulted a doctor in morning too. He asked me to vomit more by taking salted water and asked me to take Gelocil MPS 2 Spoons every six hours and to take rest. Kindly obliged me through your guidance on this said problem. Is that liquid will harm my lever/kidney/intestine in a long run or I may face any problem further. Plz guide.
Regards............

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

The main problem with Lizol is that it is an acid which can seriously burn your digestive tract. Vomiting should not be forced. The burning sensation is a symptom of stomach burn. Esophagus could also get burn. Liver and kidneys function should be monitored as its failure can appear after some time.

In the future your esophagus most likely will get narrow. This can cause problems with eating and even drinking. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done right now to decrease a risk of its inflammation and narrowing.
If it will get narrow, some procedures to dilate it can be done.

Right now you should definitely visit ER as soon as possible.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
