Burning Sensation Of Legs. EMG Done. Used TENS Machine. Medication Taken. No Relief. Consult Online Doctor.
I have a terrible burning sensation on the back of both my lower legs....more so on my right leg. I have had an EMG and it would seem that I have inflamed nerves in both my lower legs. I only seems to feel this burning sensation at night after I have been sleeping for about 2 hours. I am taking medication for this problem but nothing seems to help. I have also used a TENS machine and that does not help either. I also suffer from RLS and that seems to aggravate the burning leg problem. I have not had a good nights sleep in about 6 months. Can someone tell me what I can do to fix this problem permanently. Thanks. PS; I take a lot of meds to relieve this problem but nothing is helping me so far.......HELP! Many thanks.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. From your description it seems that you have paresthesias which may be related to a nerve root compression at the spinal cord or methylcobalamin deficiency. An MRI scan of the back will help in diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
